One month ago, my friend, Katie flew to Frankfurt and the two of us set off on a European tour, following our hearts wherever they desired. As a result, we managed to visit six different countries in four weeks. One month is nowhere near enough time to do Europe justice--indeed, it is not long enough to do justice to the average European country alone--but we were restrained by our budget, our life goal timelines and the fact that winter was rapidly settling in.
Katie and I travelled well together, something that wasn't entirely unexpected, as we'd previously been roommates twice, in two different provinces, and had travelled together before for lesser amounts of time. Furthermore, we both favour history over art, have been deemed to have the same personality type by the (in)famous Myers-Briggs and, as is often important for the geeky type, have extremely similar political views.
